Southern rock legends Gov't Mule come to Lewiston on Thursday, August 6th, 2026 to put on a show stopping performance at Lewiston’s epic Artpark Amphitheater. The music of Gov’t Mule is hard driving rock and roll with a strong element of psychedelic exploration. Extended improvisational segments allow for incredible musical displays and high energy performances that are part of every Gov’t Mule show. No two performances are ever the same with many special moments throughout the night.

Gov’t Mule is a Southern rock band which was formed by Warren Haynes and Allen Woody. Warren Haynes is a six string master and along with his powerful voice brings a lot of soul to the band’s music. After Woody’s untimely death, the spot was filled by Robbie Buck and later by Andy Hess. The band has toured and performed constantly over the years and have a very loyal fan base. Their songs include “Blind Man in the Dark” which is off of their very first album which was released over thirty three years ago and the rest of their very impressive and vast catalog. Heavy Load Blues is the band’s latest studio release which was released in 2021 and received widespread acclaim. The album showcases the band’s unique take on the classic blues tunes as well as some of their own compositions that continue to showcase the band’s bluesy rock style with a gritty twist. Fans can expect to hear songs such as “Shake Our Way Out” as well as songs from the fan favorite Dose such as “Blind Man in the Dark” as well as songs from the album The Deep End and other songs from their vast and respected discography. Consisting of master singer and guitarist Warren Haynes (Rolling Stone’s Top 20 Guitarist in the World) along with fellow veteran musicians Matt Abts on drums, Danny Louis on keyboards and Markus Sandberg on bass, the current lineup of Gov’t Mule have a long history of performing together bringing to every show some of the band’s most impressive and longest improvisational performances.

Artpark Amphitheatre Information

The venue for this concert is located in the beautiful town of Lewiston, New York and provides a world class experience to enjoy your favorite artists while surrounded by the views of the Niagara River. At full capacity the Artpark Amphitheater can hold up to 10,000 fans at any given time with options of reserved seating as well as general admission lawn seating. The modern concessions located throughout the venue offer a variety of different options to grab a bite to eat before the show as well as clean restrooms for all guests. In addition to the concert venue, Artpark is also a part of the larger Artpark State Park, which is situated on the edge of the Niagara River gorge.
